• yesterday was the third day in a row that i overslept my alarm by half an hour.  last night i decided to set my alarm to star trek: the next generation’s red alert sound (this used to be my ringtone.  i woke up this morning to that alarm in a panic, feeling like i had to rush out of my room and load the torpedoes.
• if you walk on the caltrain in the morning smelling like fried foods except 10x more pungent, you need to take a shower.  on that note, if your headphones are in, keep it low ‘cause no one wants to hear your shitty mainstream R&B by chris brown (did i mention he’s a wifebeater?).  not really my problem but i hope you go deaf in 10 years.
• namie amuro’s “fast car” song is kind of bad, in the sense that the video has absolutely nothing to do with cars and the beat is cheesy.  BUT IT’S SO CATCHY SO WHY DO I KEEP LISTENING TO IT?! (for reference, the video is here).  i will admit: gothic lolita FTW though. and now i have ideas for how to do alice in wonderland for reg 2010…
• i found baby vox’s special 5.5 album…probably the last (good) album they released. <3 it sucks that they broke up, but i’m glad they all moved on with their careers.  the new members don’t do justice to the baby vox name.
• while looking for more info on Snow Crash and its author, Neal Stephenson, I accidentally stumbled over a minor plot spoiler :( this makes erin a sad panda.
• bear grylls is apparently releasing a “man vs. wild” episode in china.  i joked with phi that a panda is going to come up behind him, pimp slap him, and be like BITCH GET THE HELL OUT OF MY COUNTRY.  then as the panda wanders off he’s going to grumble “damn [foreigners]”…that imagery is really funny in my head for some reason.
• i figured out a use for all that ugly pink yarn that i have: hard drive carrying bag, because i don’t have any bags otherwise that i can use to carry it around.  plus i don’t want it to get any more scratched up than it already is.  cat blankets and a new scarf come after this.
